A cup cannot be filled anymore when it is full. Self-regulation is a part of Emotional Intelligence that deals with our ability to manage change and stressful situations. Change is happening everywhere, with deadlines to meet, environments to adapt to (co-workers, bosses, schoolmates), commitments to upkeep (relationships, career, family). Change brings about a range of emotions and one of it potentially is stress. Stress is a response to demands or perceived threats, such as situations demanding our time, energy, attention, space, money.
Having a better ability to self-regulate can contribute to better self-management, which cultivates our ability to guide our thinking and actions towards success.
Self-Hypnosis is a self-regulation technique that improves your resilience to remain composed, in situations that pressure you to give in to disruptive emotions and to act on impulse. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Yes, you heard it right. In fact, we are all already familiar with hypnosis in our daily lives. Just recall for a moment when you lose track of time.
“To improve is to change, to be perfect is to change often” – Sir Winston Churchill
Through years of experience in life, we unknowingly have built up, or programmed thought patterns, beliefs and habits. This programming may be less beneficial to us when it leads to behaviours such as staying angry, difficulty letting go, linking unnecessary thoughts, among others. Self-hypnosis is a technique we can develop, to make use of our own natural state of mind to bring about changes from within. Hypnosis is a proven and natural state of mind that heightens our focus to facilitate the change we seek.
Why 7th Path Self-Hypnosis® ?
7th Path Self-Hypnosis® is developed by Calvin D. Banyan, a Master Hypnotist.
The 7th Path Self-Hypnosis® is a non-religious approach to help you through decluttering of old thought patterns and reinforcing of positive ones. This technique is different from positive affirmations and other forms of self-hypnosis, through the concept of emptying the cup and filling it up again; negative thoughts and beliefs (negative programming) are first removed, before topping off with positive reinforcements. Practiced over a period of time, it helps to maintain a mind-body balance, among other benefits. Consider any of the following:
- improved emotional response towards any situation
- building better relationships with the people around
- generating solutions to overcome issues
- dissolved feelings of inadequacy, isolation, insecurity, resentment, etc
- strengthened self-esteem
- overall sense of peace and calm
- … and more
